The hinrunde for bundesliga season 2019/20 has been concluded and Bayern doesn’t play again before 11th January. I was getting a little bored and so here comes my late player ratings and analysis for Hinrunde 2019.
This has been a very eventful hinrunde for Bayern Munich. They were off to a very rough start drawing against Hertha Berlin at home and dropping some points here and there. The painful defeat to Frankfut away from home did cost Niko Kovac his job and concludes another melancholic story for Bayern Munich and it’s trainers. Lucky for us Hansi Flick came out to be quite handy. There were not only downsides but several ups also. 7-2 win against Tottenham at London and 4-0 thumping of BVB at the Allianz Arena were particularly notable.
Bayern under Niko Kovac seemed like they don’t have a clear philosophy and they oftentimes ran out of idea. Kovac never seemed suited for the job. After hansi flick came in charge he made a few changes here and there, gave the team an attacking and pressing identity. It is not perfect as outlined by the defeats against Leverkusen and Gladbach, but it is an decent improvement when compared to KovacSZN. And not to mention injury gods have not been very empathatic to the FC Bayern playes either. Sule is out for the season, Hernandez is doing a good recovery, Gnabry and Coman are out for the time being and needless to say it looks pathetic.
SO, now for the player ratings- I will rate defence, offence and midfield separately, for players and overall. A+ is the highest rating and C- being the lowest.
